LAS VEGAS - A day after setting the track speed record, Funny Car championship hopeful Jack Beckman made the quickest run in The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway history on Saturday, earning the No. 1 qualifying spot at the 19th annual Dodge NHRA Nationals Presented by Pennzoil. Leah Pritchett (Top Fuel), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also No. 1 qualifiers in their respective categories at the fifth of six races in the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship playoffs. The race also serves as the penultimate event of the 24-race 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier Leah Pritchett drove her Mopar Top Fuel dragster to a 3.654 second pass at 329.83 mph. Top Fuel driver Leah Pritchett made a Vegas-best pass of 3.654-second at 329.83 mph on Saturday for a track elapsed time record at the Dodge NHRA Nationals Presented By Pennzoil.
Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson drove his Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.584 second pass at 207.91 mph. Eight-time Las Vegas winner Greg Anderson picked up the No. 1 position on Saturday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Pro Stock Motorcycle No. 1 qualifier Matt Smith rode his Denso Auto Parts / Stockseth / MSR EBR to a 6.842 second pass at 198.64 mph. Reigning Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion Matt Smith will start race day from the No. 1 spot thanks to his 6.840-second pass at 196.93 mph from Saturday's final qualifying.
