LAS VEGAS - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 19th annual Dodge NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil:

Weather conditions: air temperature 62 degrees, relative humidity 18 percent, barometer 27.94 inches, adjusted altitude 2,816 feet, track temperature 69 degrees.

Nataas is 1 - 0 against Bateman in prior events.

Nataas with a great light, but Bateman had the lead as they went past the Christmas tree. Bateman started dropping cylinders around half track and then pushed out a head gasket. She chased him down and took the lead around 800 feet never trailed from there on for the win. Julie Nataas' MOV: 0.0658 seconds (approximately 25 feet).

Bateman ran his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

This is the first time Ahten and Parker have faced each other in eliminations.

Ahten with the starting line advantage, but was up in smoke right at the hit. Parker was straight down the groove for the win.

This is the first time Stevens and Grisel have faced each other in eliminations.

Grisel with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. He will give up lane choice to Nataas in the semifinal.

Stevens started to haze the tires right at the hit and pedaled and couldn't chase Grisel down.

Severance is 9 - 7 against Shields in prior events. Severance has had a great weekend three out of his four passes have been in the top 10 blown dragster passes.

Shields with the starting line advantage, he launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. He will have lane choice over Parker in the semifinal.

Severance over powered the track right at the hit.
