Torrence is 15 - 13 against Kalitta in prior events and Torrence is 4 - 1 against Kalitta in prior final rounds.

Kalitta with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Kalitta started to haze the tires, but he stays with it for the win. Doug Kalitta's MOV: 0.0192 seconds (approximately 7 feet). Kalitta wins his 45th National event Wally. He wins his third Winternationals title and second consecutive.

Torrence started to haze the tires and used up an engine in the light in the losing effort.
