Beckman gets a narrow 0.003 starting line advantage and stays in front to right at the 330 lights. TJ just starts a steady drive past him for a narrow 10 foot win.

Hight is 14 - 10 against Force in prior events.

Force gets a nice starting line advantage, but has to pedal before the 330 lights. She tries to squeeze back into it, but can't get it to recover.

Hight looked to be on another perfect pass until right at the lights, where there is a huge engine explosion.

The body splits and the car starts a steady drift across the track and into the left guardrail. It keeps on going with jumbled up parachutes, right on down the track into the sand trap and all the way to the first net.

Hight is quickly out of the broken Camaro and signaling that he is OK.

Prock says that they have a car in the top of the trailer ready to go for the finals. Hight will have lane choice over Johnson by 0.047 seconds.

Robert Hight's incremental times: 60ft-0.866 sec., 330ft-2.222, 660ft-3.126/283.67 mph.
