COMMERCE, Ga. - Results of round 3 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 75 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 29.27 inches, adjusted altitude 2,249 feet, track temperature 122 degrees.

Brown is 24 - 18 against Kalitta in prior events. Brown with the slight starting line advantage, but was up in smoke right at the hit. Kalitta launched hard and was straight down the groove with a great pass for the win.

There was a lane switch here, Todd then had problem with the front end, but the team got it fixed. Todd and Langdon have each won 4 times against the other in prior events. Langdon with the starting line advantage, but Todd grabbed the lead by half track and took the win in a great drag race. J.R. Todd's MOV: 0.0233 seconds (approximately 11 feet). Todd will give up lane choice to Kalitta in the final.
