BAYTOWN, Texas - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 29th annual SpringNationals:

4:14 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 79 percent, barometer 29.77 inches, adjusted altitude 2,488 feet, track temperature 103 degrees.

These two fired and started toward the starting line, then were signaled to shut off because a light mist once again made the track too damp for safe racing.

Dick Maris has a 0.12 CIC penalty; David Rampy has a 0.05 CIC penalty.

4:43 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 77 degrees, relative humidity 80 percent, barometer 29.76 inches, adjusted altitude 2,383 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

The two cars are warming their engines as the Safety Safari makes a couple touch-up passes with the tractors.

Maris had an almost-perfect light, but he slowed just past half track and David Rampy recorded his 91st Wally, having woin his 90th last weekend in Charlotte. 73 have been in Competition Eliminator.
