LAS VEGAS -- Jim Bruns of Silverdale, Wash., won the Super Pro finale on the final night of The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's inaugural Wild, Wild West Thanksgiving Classic on Sunday, Dec. 1. Bruns collected $5,000 for his win over Lesli Crooks-Northup of Boise, Ida. Bruns posted a .508 reaction time to Lesli's .535. Bruns' '69 Camaro ran 10.355 sec. (on a 10.33 sec. dial-in) at 128.95 mph.
Scott Horsley of Las Vegas won the Pro finale in his "Class of '55" 1955 Chevrolet, defeating Steve Bunch of Littlerock, Calif. Horsley posted a reaction time of .505 to Bunch's .640, then ran 12.751 sec. (on a 12.77 sec. dial-in) at 101.60 mph to claim the B&M trophy.

The Strip at LVMS will present its final drag racing programs of the 2002 season on Friday, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7.
Friday, Dec. 6 -- Midnight Mayhem Late Night Street Drags Gates open at 8 p.m., Grudge Drags from 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. Spectators $5, racers $10.
