Rahaim and Smith have each won 1 times against the other in prior events. Smith with the starting line advantage and the lead until around 400 feet and Rahaim with the lead until right in the lights when his engine went away and Smith was able to drive back around him for the win in a great drag race. Rickie Smith's MOV: 0.0019 seconds (approximately 8 inches). Smith will give up lane choice to Knowles in the final.
