POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 50th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals:

Savoie is 1 - 0 against Arana in prior events. This is Arana last race for a while, as he has joined the Coast Guard and will not be competing next year. Savoie won the only other first round match up.

Savoie is dead late and Arana nails the tree with a stout 0.004 light. Arana gets a easy hole shot win.

Johnson finds some power after qualifying and drives on by Smith before the sixty foot lights to get the decisive win.

Krawiec stays in the hunt for the Championship with a strong win. Gann was away first and lead until right after the 330 foot lights, where the H-D drove on by. He will have lane choice over Adam Arana next round.

Sullivan goes for the upset with a stout 0.004 RT. She leads to just past the sixty foot light, where Hines secures the 2014 Pro Stock Bike Championship with the best Et of the session. For his efforts he will get to race Hector Arana next round.
