LAS VEGAS - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 13th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals:

Beckman is 15 - 4 against Arend in prior events.

Arend and Beckman leave the line together, stay almost even to the sixty foot mark, then Beckman starts to pull away. Beckman goes right down the groove and takes the win to keep his championship hopes alive.

Jack Beckman's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.005), 330 ft(0.020), 660ft(0.035). MOV: 0.0761 seconds (approximately 32 feet).

This was a good drag race. DeJoria gets off the line first, then Capps starts to reel her in. He pulls closer at the 330 foot mark, then DeJoria starts to pull away again and takes the win.

Alexis DeJoria's incremental margins: 60ft(0.035), 330 ft(0.031), 660ft(0.043). MOV: 0.0427 seconds (approximately 19 feet).

Force gets out of the gate first, starts to pull away, then Hight strikes the tires about 300 feet out and has to back off the throttle. Force goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the round so far and will have lane choice over Beckman in the next round.

Courtney Force's incremental margins: 60ft(0.017), 330 ft(0.099), 660ft(0.733). MOV: 1.8642 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Force is 46 - 23 against Worsham in prior events.

Force gets the advantage off the line and starts to pull away. Worsham gets about 300 feet out, goes up in smoke and gives up on the run. Force continued down track with the quickest pass of the round to take the win.

Force will have lane choice over DeJoria in the next round.
