POMONA, Calif. - Results of final, round 6 eliminations in Super Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals presented by Super Start Batteries:

5:50 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 67 degrees, relative humidity 42 percent, barometer 28.83 inches, adjusted altitude 2,257 feet, track temperature 68 degrees.

This will be the second attempt to run the final round, as it's reported that a photographer's flash created a red light in DeFrank's lane, as the tree came down right before the Professional final rounds. They were given time to cool off and are back to finish the racing for today.

Cotton has three National event wins : one in Super Stock and two in Stock. DeFrank has fourteen wins: twelve in Super Stock and two in Stock. Two of the SS wins were here at Pomona.

Cotton gets the "real" red light this time and DeFrank gets the double up win with ease. He is fourteenth driver to achieve this difficult task. This will make the twenty-fifth time to date.
