POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 48th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals:

Neff is 7 - 5 against Pedregon in prior events.

Neff is just asleep on the line and it costs him big time. Pedregon is ready and has the power to stay out if front all the way down the track with about the same leading margin to take the hole shot win.

Force gets the staring line advantage, but doesn't need it, when Wilkerson's tires are immediately up in smoke. She makes another low four second pass into round three.

Courtney Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.911 sec., 330ft-2.332, 660ft-3.292/269.83 mph.

Hight is 21 - 12 against Capps in prior events. Another nail biting round for Capps.

It's Capps from start to finish. He is away first and flies ahead , when Hight smokes the tire about one hundred feet out. It's a great straight and clean pass, but he will give up lane choice to Force in round 3.

Beckman is 13 - 4 against Arend in prior events.

Arend gives it all he has off the line and still is behind before the sixty foot lights.

Beckman has the power and runs the quickest ET of the session to get the big win. He will keep lane choice when he races. Pedregon in the next round.
