Pro Mod Qualifying Notes, Session #2
By Larry Sullivan

NORWALK, Ohio - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Aeromotive Fuel Systems Pro Mod at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags VI presented by Mickey Thompson listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: David Hance Runs 4.663/146.16, Now #7; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Adam Flamholc Runs 3.934/189.79, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.202/94.75, Was #6

Hance blipped the throttle once, may have rolled the beams. Flamholc made a nice run, moving to the head of the class.

Left Lane: Matt Guenther Runs 6.136/102.03, Now #11; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 4.040/195.62, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.542/97.69, Was #10

Guenther's competition number was erroneously entered twice in the first session - he did not make a pass, shut off at the line.

How much power does that turbo car make? Tutterow launched, had to do a quick backpedal because the car was headed toward the wall, then he got back on it and look at the result.

Guenther launched, shook, and lifted.

Left Lane: Dave Roemer Runs 4.242/174.93, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.211/156.70, Was #5
Right Lane: Pat Musi Runs 5.103/98.57, Now #9; Best prior run: 5.738/80.72, Was #10

Musi also had the wheels up a long way down the track, finally had to lift when the car started to turn toward the wall. Roemer did not have any obvious problems, but the car is still running way off his usual pace.

Left Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 4.163/183.94, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.863/54.79, Was #13
Right Lane: Dan Stevenson Runs 4.139/163.00, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.260/180.84, Was #7

Left Lane: Monroe Guest Runs 5.972/92.78, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.031/184.98, Was #3
Right Lane: Jeffrey Cummins Jr Runs 4.013/187.60, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.571/69.55, Was #13

Guest was also the victim of a competition number mixup in the first session. He actually made one of the better runs of that session.

This time around, Cummins found the traction and made a good pass, while Guest lost traction and spun the tires hard.

Left Lane: Larry Higginbottham Runs 4.173/172.94, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.239/161.02, Was #9
Right Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 4.730/118.97, Now #11; Best prior run: 8.141/82.69, Was #14

Dave Roemer is on the bump spot at 4.211.

Higginbottham improved enough to get back in, on the bump spot. Tindle had the front wheels in the air a long way down the track, then the car started pogoing when he lifted to get the wheels down.

Left Lane: Keith Haney Runs 5.678/109.01, Now #13; Best prior run: 5.466/117.21, Was #13
Right Lane: Raymond Matos Runs 3.991/187.52, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.970/187.99, Was #2

Haney shook and got sideways about 100 feet out. Matos did not improve, but that's his second three-second run of the day.
