ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 34th annual K&N Filters SuperNationals presented by Pep Boys:

12:14 PM Current weather conditions: 58 degrees, 35 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.19 inches, with a track temperature of 75 degrees.

The last time Adams won a round was here in 1999. Geoffrion was away first, but shook the tires and Adams led from the 60-foot timer on.

Krisher is running a brand-new race car here, but it didn't solve his red light problem and WJ got a freebie. Even so, Johnson made his best pass of the weekend, a career-best elapsed time for "the Professor."

They left almost together, but Pawuk had problems about 300 feet out, the car getting a bit sideways, and Alderman was uncontested from there on. Alderman matched his career-best elapsed time in these great conditions.

Good drag race, Troy tying his career-best elapsed time and running a career-best speed, only to lose because AJ also ran career best numbers both elapsed time and speed. Allen Johnson's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.001), 330 ft(0.002), 660ft(0.009), 1,000ft(0.018). MOV: 0.0266 seconds (approximately 8 feet).

Northrop's car headed for the centerline near half track and he had to lift. Kurt ran a career-best speed, but not elapsed time, losing lane choice to AJ in the second round.

Grant shook and turned right on the launch. Yates ran a career-best speed enroute to the easy win and will have lane choice against Alderman in the second round.

Stanfield had a great light, but so did Anderson, who ran the quickest elapsed time in of the round for the win. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.801, 660ft-4.308/163.24mph, 1,000ft-5.602.

Wilson took a shot at the tree and came up short. Jeg earns lane choice over WJ by two thousandths next round.
