Extreme 10.5 Round 1 Eliminations

BAYTOWN, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Mickey Thompson Extreme 10.5 at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL Carsafe Dragpalooza VIII:

5:01 p.m. Thornton set the speed record at 206.51 and has a pending record of 208.62, but needs at least a 206.54 to back that up.

Thornton's adrenaline got the better of him and he left before the tree was activated.

5:07 p.m. Moyer had the better light, but Moyer's car started fishtailing and Stubbs drove by for the win with his quickest run of the event..

Swindoll had a great light, but his car was loose and headed for the centerline, forcing him to lift. Pittman made a good run, will have lane choice against Stubbs in the semifinals.

Sugrue was late, Glidden was later, but Sugrue's car headed for the centerline and he had to lift. Glidden, on only his second run of the weekend, went right down the groove and will have lane choice against Myers in the semifinals.
