NHRA Introduces 'Fan Choice Awards' to Embrace, Empower its Knowledgeable Fan Base

GLENDORA, Calif. --
As a way of embracing the voice of one of the most knowledgeable fan bases in sports, and reliving
so many of the great moments from the unforgettable 2010 season, NHRA has created the "NHRA Fan
Choice Awards," a year-end recognition of outstanding performance as voted on exclusively by NHRA
fans.
The inaugural NHRA Fan Choice Awards will include five categories and fan voting will be conducted
over the course of two weeks, from Monday, Dec. 13 to Friday, Dec. 24, on NHRA.com. The winners of
the Inaugural NHRA Fan Choice Awards will be announced over the course of the final five days of
the year, Dec. 27-31, on NHRA's Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/NHRA/64205041409 to allow fans the chance to
immediately react to/debate the outcome of each category.
In addition to being invited to exclusively select these year-end honors, NHRA fans who participate
in the voting will be entered into a drawing to win two final eliminations tickets to the race of
their choosing. They will also be given a coupon code to save $2 off on the purchase of the 2010
Year in Review DVD, which includes video highlights of most if not all of the entries from the NHRA
Fan Choice Awards.
The five categories for the inaugural NHRA Fan Choice Awards are as follows:
* Story of the Year
* Moment of the Year
* Upset of the Year
* Driver/Rider of the Year
* Team of the Year
Voting will be open for Story of the Year: Monday Dec. 13-Wednesday, Dec. 15; Moment of the Year:
Thursday, Dec. 16-Friday, Dec. 17; Upset of the Year: Saturday, Dec. 18-Sunday, Dec. 19;
Driver/Rider of the Year: Monday, Dec. 20-Tuesday, Dec. 21; and Team of the Year: Wednesday, Dec.
22-Friday, Dec. 24.
