Pro Stock Motorcycle Round 1 Eliminations

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 41st annual NHRA SuperNationals:

12:26 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 61 percent, barometer 29.77 inches, adjusted altitude 2,635 feet, track temperature 112 degrees.

Gann and Krawiec have raced each other four times, with Krawiec winning every time. Krawiec, who used to work as track manager here at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, was the Pro Stock Motorcycle champion in 2008.

Gann got this one on a hole shot. He was first out of the gate and stayed out in front the whole way down the track, though Krawiec was closing in.

Treble and Tonglet have never raced each other before this. Treble won here in 2007 and 2009.

Tonglet won last week in Chicago and kept his streak alive with a win here today.

Hines was runner up here in 2007, and has won both of the prior two times he has raced Underdahl.

Hines got out of the gate first and stayed out in front for the win.

Stoffer was runner up at Englishtown in 2005 and 2006. She has three wins and no losses in her previous races against Smith, with the most recent race before this coming in Atlanta last month.

Smith was a lot quicker off the starting line and led to 330 feet. After that, it was Stoffer all the way.

This was the fourth time Smith and Hope have raced each other. Smith, who won the event here in 2006, won in their three prior meetings.

Smith was quicker at the tree and on the track so he'll move on to the next round. He gave up lane choice to Stoffer next time out.

Johnson was late leaving the starting line and was trailing at 1,000 feet. Harris's motorcycle shut down in the lane, letting Johnson slip by for the win. Johnson gave up lane choice to Hines in round two. Steve Johnson's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.246), 330 ft(-0.217), 660ft(-0.174), 1,000ft(-0.125). MOV: 0.0796 seconds (approximately 18 feet).

Arana was the winner in the three times these two have raced each other before this. The last time Arana has made it past the first round here came in 1995.

Arana was first off the starting line and first at the finish. He'll have lane choice over Tonglet in round two.

Phillips and Miceli have never raced each other in NHRA national events. Miceli's last round win came at Brainerd in 2002.

Miceli was quicker off the starting line but slower on the track, so he won't be moving on. Phillips will have lane choice over Gann in the second round.
