POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 45th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals:

 Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
2062 Ronnie Humphrey 41 Rodger Brogdon
E1 0.297 7.715 132.67 ****WINNER**** 0.019 6.599 209.49
 Qualified: #8 6.610 210.11 #9 6.613 208.65
Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 33 percent, barometer 29.00 inches, adjusted altitude 2,396 feet, track temperature 87 degrees.

Humphrey and Brogdon have never faced each other in eliminations. Foghorn Leghorn says: "Now looka, I say, looka here. I think it's time we "Chartered" our way to the next round with a little "Attitude"! Sorry, Ronnie!!"

Looks like the old rooster knew what was going on, as Brogdon runs a near career best ET. Humphrey uses a lot of track getting to the finish line and gets there second.

Rodger Brogdon's incremental margins: 60ft(0.304), 330 ft(0.331), 660ft(0.449), 1,000ft(0.848). MOV: 1.3943 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Ronnie Humphrey's incremental times: 60ft-1.007 sec., 330ft-2.813, 660ft-4.415/140.81 mph, 1,000ft-6.092.

 Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
31 Johnny Gray 3 Kurt Johnson
E1 0.011 6.912 206.39 ****WINNER**** 0.049 6.642 209.49
 Qualified: #7 6.606 209.17 #10 6.615 209.26
Gray has had Johnson number in first round, winning all four prior encounters.

Not today, as Gray has problems down track and slows.

Kurt Johnson's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.039), 330 ft(0.124), 660ft(0.185), 1,000ft(0.215). MOV: 0.2322 seconds (approximately 70 feet).

Johnny Gray's incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.957, 660ft-4.506/160.82 mph, 1,000ft-5.817.

7406 Vinnie Deceglie 7 Allen Johnson
E1 0.072 7.817 128.19 ****WINNER**** 0.040 6.648 207.18
 Qualified: #11 6.615 208.75 #6 6.606 209.20
The two cars switch lanes before going up to run.

The left lane is evil for the Pro Stockers with Deceglie getting way loose and close to the wall at half track. He has to lift.

Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.766, 660ft-4.262/164.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.559.

199 Ryan Ondrejko 8 Greg Stanfield
E1 0.034 6.627 208.52 ****WINNER**** 0.032 6.616 209.59
 Qualified: #12 6.615 208.14 #5 6.604 209.59
Stanfield and Ondrejko are meeting for the time in eliminations.

Staging battle! Neither car makes a move to turn on the bottom lights.

Almost exactly even RT's and Stanfield is behind until near the 330 lights, where he gets back on by. It stays close all the way to the end, where he gets the close win.

Greg Stanfield's MOV: 0.0133 seconds (approximately 4 feet).

Greg Stanfield's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.009), 330 ft(0.003), 660ft(0.009), 1,000ft(0.011). MOV: 0.0133 seconds (approximately 4 feet).

Ryan Ondrejko's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.777, 660ft-4.265/165.60 mph, 1,000ft-5.547.

2 Greg Anderson 118 Dave Northrop
E1 ****WINNER**** 0.017 6.580 210.73 0.092 6.660 209.20

Another lane switch before the burnouts. Anderson has a three to one win advantage over Northrop in prior encounters.

Nothing wrong with the left lane after all. Anderson runs the table on incremental number and a big win with a new top speed of the meet.

Anderson will have Stanfield later today with lane choice.

Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.763, 660ft-4.238/167.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.509.
Dave Northrop's incremental times: 60ft-1.027 sec., 330ft-2.817, 660ft-4.304/166.05 mph, 1,000ft-5.583.

4 Mike Edwards 357 Larry Morgan
E1 ****WINNER**** 0.075 6.587 210.34 -0.004 13.306 65.46
 Qualified: #1 6.562 210.64 #16 6.637 209.36
Morgan has an 8-6 win advantage over our new 2009 Pro Stock Champion, Edwards, with a 4-3 first round history.

Not this time as Morgan goes red by -0.004 and then has his Stratus go dead right. He has to lift.

Edwards is long gone and hard to find, running his quickest pass of the weekend for the easy win. He'll see Brogdon with lane choice in the next round.

Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.240/166.74 mph, 1,000ft-5.515.
Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-3.513, 660ft-6.672/070.39 mph, 1,000ft-10.031.

10 Ron Krisher 317 Rickie Jones
E1 ****WINNER**** 0.036 6.600 210.18 0.007 7.170 142.34
 Qualified: #2 6.587 209.69 #15 6.628 208.71
Jones has a 3-2 win advantage over Krisher. They are 2-1 in the first round.

Big advantage off the line for Jones and then the starts to move around a little, he starts to correct and the Stratus really starts to move around, so he lifts.

Krisher will have lane choice over Kurt Johnson in the next round.

Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.775, 660ft-4.254/166.85 mph, 1,000ft-5.527.

5 Jason Line 1 Jeg Coughlin
E1 ****WINNER**** 0.052 6.562 210.77 0.013 6.687 208.97
 Qualified: #3 6.587 209.49 #14 6.620 208.68
These two usually meet in later rounds. Line has a 16-14 overall advantage with a 3-1 first round record.

Whoa! Take no prisoners! He ties the best ET of the meet. Jeggy is ahead off the line and is able to stay there until just after the 100 foot mark, where the Summit GXP goes thundering by.

12:25 p.m. Jason Line's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.022), 330 ft(0.041), 660ft(0.064), 1,000ft(0.076). MOV: 0.0867 seconds (approximately 27 feet).

Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.223/167.22 mph, 1,000ft-5.493.
Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.827, 660ft-4.326/165.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.608.

He will face Allen Johnson in round two with lane choice
