That was a very stout run for Gaines in the worst weather conditions of the weekend. Just like the other rounds, Gaines leaves last then then reels in the other car. It's been while since we've seen V in the finals but it's going to be a welcome sight.

This is a battle of leavers and Richie has already had one staging battle today.

Not this time, though, Stevens goes in first and Connolly follows quickly. It's over on the line and Connolly adds to his amazing consecutive round win record.

Connolly has lane choice over Gaines in the final round.
