EDMONTON, Alb. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Alcohol Funny Car at the 2006 eMax Drag Racing Series, CARS RV & Marine & Motorsports Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by TORCO Racing Fuels:

12:48 p.m. Bateman got a nice holeshot, but it took Atchison less than half the track to run him down and go by for the win.

This was a huge upset, Thomas losing a lot time early in the run with tire shake and unable to make it up on the other end. He was closing, but lost by a car length.

The RPMs went up on Lebsack's car and he shut it off, losing something in the driveline. Carter made a nice run, his best of the weekend, and he will have lane choice against McMillen in the semifinals.

Therres started shaking the tires and fishtailing almost immediately, almost crossing the centerline. He still managed to gather it up and give chase, but Kraus never hesitated and will race Atchison in the semifinals - Atchison will choose the lan
