1:24 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 44 percent, barometer 29.93 inches, adjusted altitude 1,348 feet, track temperature 101 degrees.

Frank Pedregon was late getting off the starting line. He started to smoke the tires at 330 feet and drifted out of the groove toward the wall. He steered away from the wall and was headed toward the centerline when he backed off the throttle. Tony smoked the tires a bit too but it didn't matter as he was way out in front to take the win.

Bazemore had the quicker light and pulled away for the win.

Scelzi had this race from start to finish. He got out of the gate first and pulled away for the win. Hight started smoking the rear tires at mid track. Scelzi will have lane choice over Tony Pedregon in the next round.

Johnson was off the line first and led the race in the early going. He and Force were tied at 660 feet, then Force pulled ahead to take the win and get lane choice over Bazemore in the next round. John Force's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.040), 330 ft(-0.006), 660ft(0.000), 1,000ft(0.007). MOV: 0.0118 seconds (approximately 6 feet).
