Competition Eliminator competitor Frank Aragona Jr. had a serious accident when the transmission
blew on his '32 Bantam G/Econo Altered. The car went out of control in the resulting oil slick
and barrel-rolled several times. Fortunately, the safety gear worked and Aragona was not
injured, but the car was a total loss.
