Capps and Force have met forty times in Funny Car matches and Force holds a 33-7 edge. Capps
last final round was at Englishtown in 2003. His last win was here in 2003 and that was with
the same Crew Chief, Ed 'The Ace' McCulloch. Force is 6-2 in finals with Capps in the other
lane and has won the last five straight meetings. Pick a dog for the fight because here we go!
Force makes his normal long smoky burnout as Capps waits. Capps makes a much shorter effort
after Force starts back to the line. They get back at the same time and after the routine we
are ready to go. Capps left of Force and he stayed ahead until half track. Force drove around
the Brut car for the final MOV: 0.0196 seconds (approximately 9 feet).
