barometer 28.87 inches, adjusted altitude 2,406 feet, track temperature 103 degrees.
We're on hold for the Safety Safari and the continued cleaning of the left lane after Morgan
Lucas. 3:10 p.m. and the call goes out to 'Fire the next pair'. Great race. Capps takes the
lead at the flash of the lights and he's never headed. The Ace had the car ready to run and
Capps is going to his first final in a long time.

Force was out of the gate first and Medlen has nothing for him. Medlen struck the tires
before half track and tried to pedal. The front wheels were way off the ground when he came
down on the throttle and thought better of it. Capps is going to his first final since
Englishtown in 2003 and he has to face Force without lane choice. Could be fun. As a side note,
Phil Burkart will come away from the event with the spoint lead no matter what happens in the
final.
