Chip Ellis once again ran low elapsed time of the event at Pomona with a 7.024 during qualifying,
but struggled through off-pace runs on the G-Squared Buell Sunday before falling to Angelle Savoie
in the semifinals despite a big holeshot with a 0.007 second reaction time to Savoie's 0.051.
