Critchley Quickest During "Night of Fire"
Sat, 30 Sep 2000, 11:08 AM
Troy Critchley was way outside the field when he took his final shot at qualifying
the popular "Iron Horse" '49 Mercury during the Friday "Night of Fire." That run
took him all the way from the outhouse to the penthouse with a 6.264 second, 224.58
mph timing that tied Chip King's low ET of the event. King kept the #1 qualifying
spot by virtue of his 227.54 mph speed.
