Don Garlits Returns

To open the Friday night Top Fuel qualifying, Don Garlits made a half pass
in the Gary Clapshaw-owned dragster to the tune of 5.32 at 192 mph and a
huge roar from the crowd. It was Garlits' first competitive pass down the
Indy quarter mile since 1986.
