Jimmy Jones defeated Tate Branch in a strange final round. Jones was scheduled to run Kinsley in
the second round but Kinsley couldn't repair his car. Branch was scheduled for the bye. The rules
state that you must stage under power to advance to the next round. They each came to the line,
fired the engine, staged and shut down. They backed the cars out, fired the engines again and
completed their burn-outs.
