Brian Olson qualified 14th in his '66 Nova SS/HA, but only got to the second round. Jim
Harness, Jr., won Best Appearing honors with the '67 Nova SS/KA "twin" to this car. Harness cut
the tree down all day Sunday to win the event, but his rear wheels locked up about 500 feet past
the finish line and the car veered to the left, hitting the wall and rolling several times.
Harness was okay, but the car was demolished. Runner-up Brad Zaskowski braked hard to avoid the
accident and came away with minor damage to the nose of his '87 Camaro SS/J entry.
