Top Fuel Final, Round 4 Eliminations Sun, 3 Aug 2003, 08:47 PM Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
Series, 16th annual FRAM-Autolite NHRA Nationals:
5:37 PM Dixon is looking to sweep the Western Swing and cap it off with his first win
at Infineon Raceway. Dixon goes into this round with a 2-0-win advantage over David Baca.
Baca, from nearby Pittsburg, CA, is in his rookie season and has continued to improve at
every race. Their fathers used to race each other in TF in the dim and distant past.
They leave together and Dixon continues his dominance in 2003 by steadily pulling
away from Baca at every increment on the track. Dixon is now just two wins away from tying
his hero Don Garlits.
