Scott Kalitta had the body burst panel come loose just as he left the line
on his first pass Sunday morning. The panel then lodged in the injector
hat, effectively sticking the throttle open and he hit the left wall pretty
hard right around the finish line and then took a trip out into the desert.
Fortunately, Scott was unhurt, but the same can't be said of his car.
