GLENDORA, Calif. --
Oklahoma's Osage Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park hosts the event for the fifth consecutive season on June 21-25, while the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing Eastern Conference Finals returns to Eastern Tennessee's famed Bristol Dragway Park July 15-17. "The Eastern and Western Conference Finals features the future stars of the sport competing for the ultimate prize of a world championship," said NHRA Vice President of Racing Administration Josh Peterson. "Both events not only provide the highest level of on-track competition but off-track fun making the events an ultimate experience for all participants." Osage Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park is a member of NHRA's Division 4, South Central Division and has been hosting the Western Conference Finals since 2016. The track continues to grow the event each season. "We at Osage Hotel Tulsa Raceway Park look forward to this NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League event every year," said Todd Martin, co-owner of Osage Tulsa Raceway Park. "We are always excited to host such an important event for the NHRA. From the great competition, sportsmanship and family effort put forth, it is an awesome event to host. It means so much to us to have the young racers in the Summit Jr. Dragster programs from across the country carry on the legacy of competition at such a young age. The skill that these young drivers show, gunning for their chance at being a Western Conference Champion is the most exciting and rewarding part to watch." Bristol Dragway started hosting the Eastern Conference Finals in 2004. The fan-favorite track annually hosts the popular NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals of the professional NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. The region will welcome hundreds of young racers and their families for a week full of racing activities, beginning July 15. "We are thrilled to welcome back the NHRA Junior Drag Racing League's Eastern Conference Finals to Thunder Valley in 2021," said Jerry Caldwell, executive vice president and general manager of Bristol Motor Speedway and Bristol Dragway. "It's an event that we always look forward to and one that truly showcases the bright future of the sport of NHRA Championship Drag Racing. During the weeklong event the kids learn the importance of hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship while pursuing their racing dreams." Nearly 1,000 kids will compete for individual and team honors at the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing Eastern and Western Conference Finals. Each winner will take home the NHRA Wally champion's trophy as well as a share of the event purse. Tracks in NHRA's Divisions 1, 2, and 3 will send teams to the Eastern Conference Finals, and tracks in Divisions 4, 5, 6, and 7 will compete at the Western Conference Finals. Created in 1992, the NHRA Summit Jr. Drag Racing League allows kids between the ages of five and 17 to experience the thrill of motorsports competition in a controlled environment at tracks in each of NHRA's seven geographic divisions. The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League creates family involvement in drag racing at an affordable level. Many of the league's former participants have gone on to compete in other NHRA classes. Four-time and reigning NHRA Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders and Top Fuel racer Shawn Langdon (the 2013 NHRA Camping World Series Top Fuel world champion and a two-time Super Comp national champion in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series) are among the league's most accomplished graduates.
