Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Session #1

BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Inaugural E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Kyle Koretsky Runs 12.137/71.14, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 57 percent, barometer 28.99 inches, adjusted altitude 3,498 feet, track temperature 111 degrees.

Koretsky making his Pro Stock debut. He shook hard right at the hit.

Left Lane: Mason McGaha Runs 15.868/52.88, Now #2
Right Lane: Bruno Massel No Time, Now #3

McGaha also making his Pro Stock debut. He has a lot of tire shake and pushed the clutch back in.

Massel is making his second attempt in Pro Stock, his first was at the second Pomona race in 2013. Massel was timed out...

Left Lane: Troy Coughlin Jr. Runs 12.088/72.37, Now #2
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.791/204.70, Now #1

Coughlin Jr. is making his Pro Stock debut. He gets real loose right at the hit and clicks it off.

Gaydosh gets it to hook up and is straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Fernando Cuadra Runs 11.491/77.14, Now #3
Right Lane: Alan Prusiensky Runs 6.700/205.10, Now #1

Cuadra starts to rattle the tire by 300 feet and clicks it off.

Prusiensky is straight down the groove with a clean pass. Alan Prusiensky's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.792, 660ft-4.298/163.04 mph, 1,000ft-5.602.

Left Lane: Val Smeland Runs 6.677/206.51, Now #2
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.638/206.70, Now #1

Smeland with a good looking pass. Val Smeland's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.793, 660ft-4.292/163.75 mph, 1,000ft-5.587.

Anderson with a new car for him, it is the car that Kramer drove before and he has a new look on the car. Anderson launched hard and kept it hooked up with a great looking pass. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.774, 660ft-4.263/165.13 mph, 1,000ft-5.551.

Left Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.653/206.61, Now #2
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.660/207.05, Now #3

This is great looking side-by-side pass.

Stanfield goes to the number two spot with a good looking pass. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.779, 660ft-4.274/164.47 mph, 1,000ft-5.566.

Kramer was right there with him for the number three spot. He runs the fastest pass of the day. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.778, 660ft-4.276/164.21 mph, 1,000ft-5.570.

Left Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.737/204.42, Now #7
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.732/204.32, Now #6

It is the Cuadra brothers here.

They are side-by-side all the way down the 1320.

Cristian Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-1.019 sec., 330ft-2.822, 660ft-4.333/162.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.637.
Fernando Cuadra Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.804, 660ft-4.319/162.31 mph, 1,000ft-5.628.

Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.642/206.29, Now #2
Right Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.658/205.94, Now #4

Hartford kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove to the number two spot. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.770, 660ft-4.263/164.47 mph, 1,000ft-5.554.

Laughlin with a good looking pass to go to the number four spot. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.769, 660ft-4.266/164.17 mph, 1,000ft-5.563.

Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.661/206.92, Now #6
Right Lane: Bo Butner Runs 6.690/207.30, Now #8

McGaha with a nice clean pass to go to the number six spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.282/164.51 mph, 1,000ft-5.572.

Butner with a good pass to get into the top half of the show. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.797, 660ft-4.300/163.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.598.

Left Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.654/206.95, Now #5
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.626/206.10, Now #1

Delco with a good looking pass to go to the number five spot. Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.779, 660ft-4.277/164.59 mph, 1,000ft-5.567.

Line launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.249/164.97 mph, 1,000ft-5.538.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.635/206.89, Now #2
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.637/206.86, Now #3

This is a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up round one of qualifying.

Coughlin is straight down the groove to the number two spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.255/164.69 mph, 1,000ft-5.547.

Enders is right there with him to go to the number three spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.764, 660ft-4.258/164.65 mph, 1,000ft-5.549.
