South Georgia Motorsports Park Hosts the NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional

The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Southeast Division arrives at South
Georgia Motorsports Park February 21st - 23rd. This event is the second of six The event is one of
45 scheduled across the country where drivers in the NHRA Lucas Oil Series earn points leading to
divisional and national championships as well as a chance at a share of the year-end purse.
Categories include Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super
Street. The division's Stott's Ford Top Sportsman Series and Hickory Enclosed Trailer Sales Top
Dragster Series will also be run in conjunction with the event.
Randy Daniels, Competition Eliminator, Mark Nowicki, Super Stock, Terry Hembree, Stock Eliminator,
Rusty Cook, Super Comp, Jerry Heffelfinger, Super Gas, Scott Mackie, Super Street, Stanley
Albritton, Top Dragster, Jackie Robison, Top Sportsman, Tyler Nunez, Novice Junior Dragster, Hailey
Peterson, Intermediate Junior Dragster and Kimberly Vanlica, Advanced Junior Dragster won the
season opener at Orlando Speed World Dragway.
Gates at South Georgia Motorsports Park open at 8 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Qualifying
and time trials start at 9 a.m. on Friday. Top Dragster, Comp Eliminator and Top Sportsman qualify
Friday at 2 and 5 p.m along with one additional qualifying run Saturday at noon. Eliminations for
all classes begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. and will continue on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Top Dragster,
Comp Eliminator and Top Sportsman wil run two rounds of eliminations, round one of eliminations is
schedules for 4:00 pm and the second at 6:30 pm.
Tickets for South Georgia Motorsports Park are $20 on Friday, $25 on Saturday and Sunday. Children
12 and under are admitted free with a paid adult.
