Right Lane: Alex Miladinovich Runs 7.359/91.61, Now #1

This is Miladinovich's first national event pass.

This is DeJoria's first event in her return to Funny Car driving after two years. She is now sponsored by RoKit Phones. and ABK Beer.
Densham's Mustang hooks a tire in the burnout and turns the car sideways. He has the knowledge and skill to get it quickly back under control.
They leave together and run to about the 330 lights where they both drop a hole on the left bank. They both run on down the track, but DeJoria's Camry pushes out the head gaskets and puts some oil on the track before the lights. This will be first Professional five point oil penality of the year.

Steven Densham's incremental times: 60ft-0.879 sec., 330ft-2.320, 660ft-3.374/216.72 mph.
12:51 p.m. The scrubber and sweepers are out on the track in the left lane.

Lee's Charger kicks the slicks loose right off the line.
Campbell has his Charger start to hunt around in his lane and he is coasting around the 660 lights.
Left Lane: Cruz Pedregon No Time, Now #8
Right Lane: Tim Wilkerson Runs 3.951/322.73, Now #1
A new Snap-On wrap on Pedregon's Charger. There are problems after the burnout and the crew has to push him away.
Great looking pass for Wilkerson to run the first three second pass of the season.

TJ gets there first and Todd nips Wilkerson's time by just 0.001 to take the #2 spot. Very nice!

Capps's team wasn't able to participate in the preseason testing at LVMS, as a trailer fire damaged a lot of their equipment.
Tasca runs hard to near the 660 lights, where the engine drops several cylinders and then suffers a BIG BOOMER that splits the body at the front of the engine.
Capps' Charger drove right into shake and spin at the green.

1:15 p.m. The Safety Safari has some problem getting the body loose on the Mustang and off the track.

Right Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 3.867/331.20, Now #1
1:23 p.m. Back to qualifying.
Hagan powers off the line and flies on the track to take over the top spot with a big speed.
Force was chasing hard and was slightly quicker to 60 feet, but had to do a quick pedal slap right before the 660 lights and that cost him some ET.
John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.857 sec., 330ft-2.265, 660ft-3.321/251.67 mph.
Matt Hagan's incremental times: 60ft-0.858 sec., 330ft-2.219, 660ft-3.131/283.73 mph.

A nice pair of side by side passes to wrap up the session.
Beckman was away first runs strong to the finish line to slide right in behind his teammate, Hagan, for the number two spot. He is just 0.001 slower than Hagan's ET!
Hight was chasing hard and had close incrementals to the finish line for number three.
