POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 60th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Martin Robertson Runs 8.603/95.01, Now #2
Right Lane: Tom Huggins Runs 6.691/207.40, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 69 degrees, relative humidity 36 percent, barometer 28.96 inches, adjusted altitude 2,169 feet, track temperature 98 degrees.

Robertson making his Pro Stock debut. He pushed in the clutch early and had the chutes out early.

Huggins makes a move toward the centerline and he stay with it. He makes his career quickest and fastest pass. Tom Huggins' incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.804, 660ft-4.306/163.55 mph, 1,000ft-5.601.

Left Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.630/209.14, Now #1
Right Lane: Joey Grose Runs 6.689/206.23, Now #2

Cuadra is straight down the groove with a nice pass. Cristian Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-1.008 sec., 330ft-2.790, 660ft-4.272/166.48 mph, 1,000ft-5.550.

Grose with Warren Johnson behind the car over seeing the operation. He makes a clean pass. Joey Grose's incremental times: 60ft-1.004 sec., 330ft-2.812, 660ft-4.312/164.51 mph, 1,000ft-5.601.

Left Lane: Alan Prusiensky Runs 7.327/153.28, Now #5
Right Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.554/210.01, Now #1

Prusiensky makes a quick move toward the centerline and clicks it off.

Stanfield launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his career quickest pass. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.737, 660ft-4.212/167.03 mph, 1,000ft-5.483.

Left Lane: Steve Graham Runs 6.617/209.17, Now #2
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.664/207.40, Now #4

Graham with a good clean pass, straight down the groove. Steve Graham's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.766, 660ft-4.252/165.92 mph, 1,000ft-5.535.

Cuadra Jr. with a nice pass to start the season.

Left Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.553/210.60, Now #1
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Runs 6.765/202.09, Now #8

Delco launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the top of the list with the quickest and fastest pass of the day. Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.213/167.43 mph, 1,000ft-5.482.

Cuadra made a move toward the centerline, but stayed with it as he was tip toeing the centerline all the way down the track.

Left Lane: Val Smeland Runs 6.652/208.42, Now #6
Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.583/210.37, Now #3

Smeland with a good pass to start the season. Val Smeland's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.780, 660ft-4.277/164.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.568.

McGaha chattered the the tires right at the hit, but stay with it to make a good pass to go to the number three spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.239/166.74 mph, 1,000ft-5.511.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.566/209.82, Now #3
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.591/210.47, Now #5

Laughlin is straight down the groove to the number three spot. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.214/166.85 mph, 1,000ft-5.490.

Anderson was right there with him to the number five spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.242/166.46 mph, 1,000ft-5.518.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.564/210.21, Now #3
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.605/210.11, Now #7

Kramer launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number three spot. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.220/167.22 mph, 1,000ft-5.492.

Hartford switched over from Elite power to KB power this season. He makes a good pass to the number seven spot. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.254/166.13 mph, 1,000ft-5.530.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.564/210.67, Now #4
Right Lane: Bo Butner Runs 6.553/210.18, Now #2

This was a good side-by-side drag race.

Line starts his last year as Pro Stock driver...he is straight down the groove to the number four spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.744, 660ft-4.220/167.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.492.

Butner sporting new colors this year, sporting colors. He launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spots.. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.734, 660ft-4.210/166.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.482.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.540/210.77, Now #1
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.556/211.23, Now #5

Number one and two in points last year.

Coughlin launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.733, 660ft-4.203/167.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.472.

Enders is straight down the groove to the number five spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.223/166.89 mph, 1,000ft-5.491.
