BRAINERD, Minn. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 38th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 67 degrees, relative humidity 57 percent, barometer 28.47 inches, adjusted altitude 2,818 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Greg Anderson won here in 2003, 2009 and 2011.

Anderson is 10 - 2 against Laughlin in prior events.

Laughlin with slight starting line advantage, but then shook hard. he pedaled it and got it too hook up.

Anderson started to drift out of the groove and was getting real close to the centerline before he pushed the clutch back in.

Laughlin chased him down before half track and never trailed from there on for the win.

McGaha is 1 - 0 against Cuadra in prior events.

Cuadra goes red to give McGaha the win. He then runs his quickest pass of the weekend.

McGaha appeared to use up an engine as there was a lot of engine smoke around the 330 foot mark. He still gets the win.

This is the first time Hartford and Freeman have faced each other in eliminations.

Jeg Coughlin's four wins are tied for the most in the Pro Stock class in Brainerd. His last win here was in 2010. He also won here in Super Stock in 1997.

Jason Line's Pro Stock win here came in 2014 and he has been runner-up in Pro Stock four times. He also won here in Stock Eliminator in 1992 and 1997. Jason is 50 - 4 in round when starting from the top spot in the field and the top qualifier in Pro Stock is 33 - 4 in round 1 at this event. Wally Stroupe is the 84th different Pro Stock driver to face Jason in Eliminations.

Stroupe with a great light, but Line had the lead by 100 feet and never trailed from there on for the win. He runs low E.T. of the event for the win. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.750, 660ft-4.233/166.37 mph, 1,000ft-5.513. He will have lane choice over Laughlin in the next round.

Stroupe with his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

Tucker with a few tick advantage on the tree, but made a quick move toward the centerline and pushed the clutch in.

Enders started drifting toward the centerline, but stayed with it to run low E.T. of the event for the win. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.232/166.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.508.

She will have lane choice over McGaha in the next round.
