BRAINERD, Minn. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 38th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Lex Joon No Time, Now #19; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Chris Karamesines Runs 4.270/204.79, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.015/109.09, Was #18

Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 45 percent, barometer 28.41 inches, adjusted altitude 4,239 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.

Joon was going to make their first run of the weekend. The crew shut him off before he pulled up to stage.

Karamesines is mixing up cylinder on the top end, he clicked it off early. He still gets in the show.

Right Lane: Kyle Wurtzel Runs 9.297/50.27, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.962/267.75, Was #13

Wurtzel with a big fireball early in the run and he coast on down the track.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.890/312.13, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.849/322.58, Was #12
Right Lane: Scott Palmer Runs 9.697/87.65, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.771/316.60, Was #8

Brown with a good clean pass, but he will not improve. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.852 sec., 330ft-2.201, 660ft-3.123/276.75 mph.

Palmer is up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Richie Crampton Runs 4.096/217.00, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.809/316.75, Was #11
Right Lane: Austin Prock Runs 3.786/324.36, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.769/323.35, Was #7

Crampton started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Prock kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight for good clean pass. He will not improve. Austin Prock's incremental times: 60ft-0.852 sec., 330ft-2.146, 660ft-3.044/285.29 mph.

Left Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.722/328.14, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.803/321.88, Was #10
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.786/324.36, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.768/325.92, Was #6

Force launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot with a great looking pass. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.107, 660ft-2.989/290.26 mph.

Kalitta with a good looking pass, but will not improve. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.850 sec., 330ft-2.155, 660ft-3.046/286.44 mph.

Left Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 3.932/266.90, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.794/323.66, Was #10
Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.802/322.65, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.765/318.77, Was #6

McMillen started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Millican with a good pass, but will not improve. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.858 sec., 330ft-2.162, 660ft-3.058/283.97 mph.

Torrence kept it hitting on all eight with another good pass, but will not improve. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.847 sec., 330ft-2.159, 660ft-3.060/283.73 mph.

Pritchett is straight down the groove with a good looking pass, the second quickest pass of the session. Leah Pritchett's incremental times: 60ft-0.847 sec., 330ft-2.145, 660ft-3.028/287.78 mph.

Left Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 3.799/288.89, Now #5; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 3.767/322.04, Now #4; No Prior Run

Left Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 3.799/288.89, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.743/329.58, Was #3
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 3.767/322.04, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.738/328.70, Was #2

Salinas with a good looking pass until on the top end when it slowed for some reason. Mike Salinas' incremental times: 60ft-0.847 sec., 330ft-2.144, 660ft-3.027/288.46 mph.

Torrence launched hard and kept it hooked up to make another good looking pass. The second quickest pass of the session. Steve Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.840 sec., 330ft-2.132, 660ft-3.023/286.32 mph.

Force holds on to the number one spot for the 15th time in her career, fifth time this season and the first time in Brainerd.
