COMMERCE, Ga. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Arby's NHRA Southern Nationals:

Wilkerson is 18 - 12 against Tasca III in prior events.

Tasca is off the starting line first, but is up in smoke as soon as he hit the throttle. Wilkerson is up in smoke as soon as he hit the throttle and then it is a pedal fest. They area both on and off the throttle at least three times with Wilkerson getting it to hook up for the win.

Hight is 4 - 2 against Lee in prior events.

Lee with the starting line advantage, Hight has the lead by 200 feet. They both have a puff of tire smoke just before half track and they both pedal. Hight gets it to recover quicker and takes the win. He will have lane choice over Wilkerson in the semifinal.

Capps with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Force started to lose traction and the car was sideways before he clicked it off.

Todd is 5 - 4 against Johnson Jr. in prior events.

Todd with the starting line advantage, but is up in smoke right at the hit. Johnson Jr. starts to drift out of the groove and starts to haze the tires. He gets close to the centerline, but keeps it in his lane and gets the win. He will give up lane choice to Capps in the semifinal.
