Pro Modified Qualifying Notes, Session #1

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 50th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Adam Flamholc Runs 5.943/244.47, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 65 percent, barometer 29.91 inches, adjusted altitude 2,094 feet, track temperature 93 degrees.

Flamholc with a clean pass to start the weekend.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 7.848/124.65, Now #3
Right Lane: Eric Latino Runs 6.071/239.82, Now #2

Laughlin shook and clicked it off.

Latino launched hard and kept it hooked up. Eric Latino's incremental times: 60ft-1.080 sec., 330ft-2.759, 660ft-4.050/192.03 mph, 1,000ft-5.146.

Left Lane: Jader Krolow Runs 10.114/86.32, Now #5
Right Lane: Jason Scruggs Runs 5.829/247.25, Now #1

Krolow shook right at the hit and clicked it off.

Scruggs was straight down the groove with a real nice pass to go to the number one spot.

Left Lane: Harry Hruska Runs 6.022/248.66, Now #3
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.743/143.70, Now #5

Hruska launched hard and was straight down the groove to go to the number three spot. Harry Hruska's incremental times: 60ft-1.054 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.043/196.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.118.

Enders with problems early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Chip King Runs 10.312/85.97, Now #8
Right Lane: Marc Caruso No Time, Now #9

King shook hard right at the hit and clicked it off.

Caruso broke before staging and was pushed off the starting line.

Left Lane: Doug Winters Runs 9.953/89.95, Now #8
Right Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 7.364/182.06, Now #6

Winters started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Satterfield was loose and tried to reel it in before he clicked it off.

Left Lane: Steve Matusek No Time, Now #13
Right Lane: Brandon Snider Runs 6.397/232.99, Now #5

Matusek with problems and is pushed off the starting line.

Snider gets it to hook up and gets into the top half of the show.

Left Lane: Pete Farber Runs 5.886/246.03, Now #2
Right Lane: Jim Whiteley Runs 9.413/123.89, Now #10

Farber launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Pete Farber's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.620, 660ft-3.890/195.05 mph, 1,000ft-4.972.

Whiteley is real loose early and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Bob Rahaim Runs 5.842/248.48, Now #2
Right Lane: Michael Biehle Runs 5.880/254.14, Now #3

Rahaim kept it hooked up all the way down the track to go to the number two spot. Bob Rahaim's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.615, 660ft-3.872/197.86 mph, 1,000ft-4.939.

Biehle was right there with him to go to the number three spot. Michael Biehle's incremental times: 60ft-1.045 sec., 330ft-2.698, 660ft-3.942/200.11 mph, 1,000ft-4.994.

Left Lane: Steven Whiteley Runs 10.982/79.64, Now #17
Right Lane: Sidnei Frigo Runs 8.420/113.21, Now #12

Whitley shook right at the hit and clicked it off.

Frigo was real loose early and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Jose Gonzalez Runs 5.798/257.87, Now #2
Right Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 5.781/249.07, Now #1

This was a great side-by-side drag race.

Gonzalez had it hooked up all the way down the track to go to the number two spot. Jose Gonzalez's incremental times: 60ft-1.010 sec., 330ft-2.654, 660ft-3.885/202.12 mph, 1,000ft-4.924.

Tutterow launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Todd Tutterow's incremental times: 60ft-0.964 sec., 330ft-2.551, 660ft-3.807/197.16 mph, 1,000ft-4.877.

Left Lane: Khalid alBalooshi Runs 11.123/77.00, Now #21
Right Lane: Rick Hord Runs 5.834/250.88, Now #4

alBalooshi shook hard right at the hit and clicked it off.

Hord was straight down the groove to the number four spot. Rick Hord's incremental times: 60ft-1.013 sec., 330ft-2.656, 660ft-3.897/200.83 mph, 1,000ft-4.948.

Left Lane: Chad Green Runs 9.020/102.96, Now #17
Right Lane: Jeremy Ray Runs 6.137/206.70, Now #11

Green started to lose traction around 300 feet and clicked it off.

Ray clicked it off early and still goes to the number 11 spot. Jeremy Ray's incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.606, 660ft-3.947/184.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.103.

Left Lane: Steve Jackson Runs 8.977/101.06, Now #17
Right Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 9.620/89.88, Now #20

Jackson started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Castellana started to get loose and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 11.003/75.25, Now #26
Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 9.283/91.75, Now #19

Smith shook right at the hit and clicked it off.

Janis lost traction early and clicked it off.
