BYRON, Ill. -- Byron Dragway today released the official event flyer for the 20th Annual Firecracker Bracket Nationals, July 5-7, 2019. The popular event will again feature three days of bracket racing action over the course of the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The top prize of $100,000 will be awarded to the winner of Saturday's race while $30,000 will be awarded to the winner on both Friday and Sunday.

"As the birthplace of big money bracket racing, we take great pride in continuing this tradition with the Firecracker Bracket Nationals," said Byron Dragway general manager Randy Simpson. "While big payouts are commonplace at Byron Dragway as part of our Big Bucks Bracket Bash Series, the Firecracker Bracket Nationals has certainly set itself apart as one of the majors."

Registration for the Firecracker Bracket Nationals opens at 12:01 AM CT on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. A registration link will be posted to the homepage of www.ByronDragway.com at that time. A $100 deposit will be required for each entry at the time of registration, payable by credit or debit card only. Racers will then receive by email an invoice for the balance of the entry fee.

All entries will be sold as a three day, full weekend entry. Even more exclusive this year, the field will be limited to only 256 total entries each day comprised of 128 Door Cars and 128 Dragsters, which race separate of each other until the final. Door Cars will consist of both Box and No Box entries, which also race separate of each other until only one remains.

Be prepared to register on time as the 256-car field is expected to fill quickly. In 2018, this event attracted racers from twenty different states, as far as California, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico. All sales are final - once it's sold out, it's sold out - there will not be a waiting list.
