Hagan, Torrence and McGaha Emerge Victorious at NHRA New England Nationals

EPPING, N.H. Matt Hagan remained one of the hottest Funny Car racers by winning his second straight event of the season at the sixth annual NHRA New England Nationals. Hagan drove to victory in front of a sellout crowd for the second consecutive day at New England Dragway.

Steve Torrence (Top Fuel) and Chris McGaha (Pro Stock) were also winners in their respective categories at the 13th of 24 events on the 2018 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule.

Matt Hagan, Dodge Charger, 4.156 seconds, 292.01 mph defeated Tim Wilkerson, Ford Mustang, 4.181 seconds, 287.35 mph.

Hagan was the No. 1 qualifier for the event and was the defending event champion. He has back-to-back victories this season.

Steve Torrence, 3.909 seconds, 320.74 mph defeated Antron Brown, 3.948 seconds, 315.12 mph.

Torrence secured his fifth victory of the season and first at New England Dragway. He remains the points leader for Top Fuel.

Chris McGaha, Chevy Camaro, 6.570 seconds, 211.10 mph defeated Erica Enders, Camaro, Foul - Red Light.

McGaha locked-in his second event victory of the season and first at the NHRA New England Nationals.
