David Surmatchewski has seen his share of success in the 10 year history of the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series. The Canadian from Oakland, Ontario scored a top five finish landing in fourth place overall in the 2016 chase.
The past series champion and driver of the year went deep into eliminations on many occasions. He had multiple semi-final finishes, a runner-up and some very strong qualifying to earn 596 championship points.
"I have to thank my family - Alyson, Marissa, Maddy and Dylan for all the help and support," said Surmatchewski. "Thanks to Danny and Don at Douglas Engines Brantford plus Alex Schuts at Insta-Insulation for their continued support."
He also mentioned Ted Barnes and Joe Boniferro for a great series. "And Roman, Norma and Marilyn for being the best parents ever," he added.
"I'm just very proud to be a part of such an extremely competitive series encompassing the absolute best of the best in racers. After a season of ups and downs I feel very fortunate to finish in the top five again for this year."
