Leanders is usually well towards the top of the ladder at this point. Brown is still getting his new car sorted out.
Leanders is away first and finally gets a reasonable pass to put him on the bump.
Brown was on an even better pass until there is smoke coming out form under the car right after the 1000 foot lights. He still moves way up to the #11 spot.

Esz is late getting the engine started and has problems getting the converter car to move forward. The starter tells Haskett to make a single.
Haskett leaves the line and quickly has to do a pedal slap and that will cost him some necessary ET. A much better run, but well off the pace.
