CHANDLER, Ariz. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 32nd annual CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals:

A wacky TF session. Hopefully the floppers will have less drama.
Johnson Jr. is 4 - 3 against Force in prior events. Force has a 27/22 win/loss record in prior round two races. Johnson has won two of the three prior round two matchups and has almost a 48% win record overall.
There will be two Force girls in the semi's, as Johnson's Charger is smoking the tires well before the 330 lights.
Force makes a picture perfect looking pass into another three second pass.

Courtney Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.871 sec., 330ft-2.266, 660ft-3.214/274.16 mph.

Hight has won over 58% of his round two races and has a 6/4 win/loss record against Worsham. Hight is 16 - 14 against Worsham in prior events. Worsham has a slight worst record at almost 49%.
Just 0.001 difference in RT's at the green and the run just 0.002 apart through the 330 lights. Worsham gets to near the 660 lights and then has the tires come loose.
Another strong pass for High and an easy wint.

Force has a 70% win history in round two races, but Beckman has won ten of the prior twelve matchups.
Beckman gets a small starting line advantage and then goes hard into tire smoke about 200 feet out. Force makes a clean pass,k but it's his first outside of the three's and it will cost him lane choice over daughter, Courtney, next round.

Capps is 33 - 18 against Wilkerson in prior events. Capps has over a 65% win advantage in round two matchups. He has almost the same percentage, 63+%, over Wilkerson to date. Wilkerson has won almost half of his round two races.
The crazy runs from TF come in the final pair. Capps looks to have the race in the bag with a nice lead at the green. He only gets about 300 feet out before the tires are smoking. He pedals and starts to chase.
Wilkerson now looked to have it in the bag, but his tires kick loose before the 660 lights and he has to pedal hard too. He has enough momentum to stay in front for the win.
Hight will have lane choice next round.
