33 Pro Mods attempted to qualify this year, producing the quickest-ever 16-car field for eliminations. These two ended up in the middle of the field, just 0.08 seconds apart. Both are turbo cars, should be quick and fast.

On a holeshot, Coughlin got the win light. Troy Coughlin Jr.'s incremental margins: 60ft(0.026), 330 ft(0.022), 660ft(0.031), 1,000ft(0.045). MOV: 0.0534 seconds (approximately 20 feet).

Both drivers were in the fives on three of their four qualifying runs.

Weather conditions: air temperature 92 degrees, relative humidity 45 percent, barometer 29.16 inches, adjusted altitude 3,920 feet, track temperature 127 degrees.

This is the first time Rowe and Biehle have faced each other in eliminations.

Biehle left first and had his hands full in the middle of the run, the car trying to go to the left. He managed to keep it in his own lane without lifting for the win.

Michael Biehle's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.034), 330 ft(-0.069), 660ft(-0.035), 1,000ft(-0.001). MOV: 0.0272 seconds (approximately 10 feet).

Snavely left first, but Glidden had the lead at 60 feet and held it pas half track before Snavely's top-end charge sealed the deal.

Frigo was late and never had a chance because Whiteley went right down the groove with no problems.

Coughlin had to pedal early in the run and that let Janis get away for the win. He will not have lane choice against Biehle in round two.

Stevens had a great light, but then ran into tire shake and slowed. Matusek will not have lane choice against Snavely in round two.

Smith left first, but Whiteley made that up in the first 60 feet and was pulling away past the 330-foot marker. Then tire shake claimed another victim as Whiteley slowed. Smith won with his slowest run of the event and he will not have lane choice against Jim Whiteley in round two.
