POMONA, Calif. - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 50th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals:

Force has amassed a stellar one hundred and forty one wins and ninety-five runner ups so far in his long career. He was won three times and had eight runner ups in 2014. Hagan has three wins and two runner ups this year. He has a career win record of thirteen, with sixteen runner ups. Force is 12 - 11 against Hagan in prior events and Hagan is 4 - 3 against Force in prior final rounds.

Hagan gets away first and stays there until right at the 660 lights, where Force's Mustang gets it's nose out in front by just -0.009. Hagan stays strong and Force's engine starts to falter after that. Hagan drives right on back bye for the close win on top of his National Championship. There is over a thirty-four MPH difference in speed at the 1000 foot.
