Weather conditions: air temperature 95 degrees, relative humidity 37 percent, barometer 29.37 inches, adjusted altitude 3,704 feet, track temperature 142 degrees.

Massey with the starting line advantage and then started to smoke the tires before he clicked it off. Schumacher had the starting line disadvantage made up by 100 feet and blasted on down the track for the win. Schumacher with the win goes into the point lead. He makes a great looking pass here in the heat of the day.

Torrence is 4 - 2 against alBalooshi in prior events. Torrence with the starting line advantage, but then starts to smoke the tires early. alBalooshi with a clean pass for the win, but he will give up lane choice to Schumacher in the final.
