She had a win in Alcohol Funny Car too. Hight already has twenty-nine wins and sixteen runner-ups. DeJoria is 2 - 0 against Hight in
prior events and this is the first time they have faced each other in a final round.
There is a huge Mosh Pit on the starting
line, as the Kalitta crew goes wild!
Hight gets a small starting line advantage, but DeJoria was quickly on by and pulling away.
Hight's Mustang kicks the tires hard after that and won't recover enough to give her a race. DeJoria is over a quarter second ahead
at the 330 lights and just flies on down the track to score her best speed and ET of the weekend. An easy win for her first Funny
Car Championship! Nice.
