MARTIN, Mich. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Extreme Pro Stock at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, ADRL Summer Drags IX listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Matt Bertsch Runs 4.112/174.72, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.139/174.29, Was #11

9:31 p.m. Goforth's car likes this evening air - and so does Bertsch's.

Cary Goforth's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.690.
Matt Bertsch's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.705.

Left Lane: Brian Gahm Runs 4.116/174.93, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.140/175.45, Was #12
Right Lane: John Pluchino Runs 4.131/174.71, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.127/174.78, Was #9

Gahm joined those stepping up a few hundredths in the evening air, but Pluchino lost a few thousandths and one rung on the ladder.

Brian Gahm's incremental times: 60ft-0.997 sec., 330ft-2.709.
John Pluchino's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.724.

Left Lane: Pete Berner Runs 4.095/175.02, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.098/175.55, Was #3
Right Lane: Bradley Waddle Runs 4.087/176.99, Now #3; Best prior run: 4.130/176.24, Was #11

Berner picked up slightly, but Waddle picked up a bunch, running career-best numbers for both ET and speed and moved around Berner on the ladder.

Left Lane: John Deflorian Jr. Runs 4.552/120.72, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.098/176.30, Was #5
Right Lane: John Konigshofer Runs 4.117/175.57, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.138/173.67, Was #12

Deflorian's car wagged its tail about three times and he lifted. Konigshofer made a nice run, posting career-best ET and speed.

Left Lane: Elijah Morton Runs 4.064/176.93, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.075/176.20, Was #1
Right Lane: Scott Hintz Runs 4.100/176.05, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.117/176.30, Was #10

Morton was already #1 and he improved the numbers with this run. Nice run by Hintz, too, good enough to give him lane choice tomorrow.

Elijah Morton's incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.669.
Scott Hintz's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.701.

Right Lane: Dean Goforth Runs 4.101/177.69, Now #7; Best prior run: 8.507/51.45, Was #14

Looks like Dean & crew got their problems figured out. This was a nice run, straight and strong. That pushed John Montecalvo into the bottom half of the field.

Dean Goforth's incremental times: 60ft-1.010 sec., 330ft-2.711.

Right Lane: Doug Kirk Runs 4.101/174.96, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.114/174.35, Was #10

Nice run, matching Dean Goforth's ET to the thousandth. Since the TSI timing system goes to the ten thousandth, Kirk gets the seventh position by a ten thousandth of a second.

Doug Kirk's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.697.

Right Lane: John Montecalvo Runs 4.100/175.61, Now #7; Best prior run: 4.102/175.62, Was #9

Montecalvo made all that superfluous, taking sole possession of seventh place in the order. He will have lane choice against Kirk in round one.

John Montecalvo's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.698.
